vortech v-1 for a stock tbi ?

well long stoy short there's a guy near me selling a V-1 for 600 bucks, he dosnt know much about it
(got it off a friends car and then wrecked his own and needs to pay off bills), but believes it's a setup for a small block chevy, i was thinking about picking it up, but ive read alot of stuff here lately that it's not worth putting a supercharger on a tbi, or that it requires alot more modifiction than say my TPI setup, from the pictures he sent me it looks to have the bracket the head unit, the TBI bonnet, and a few other things, what do you guys think about it, it is worth the money or the effort to look into getting it ? ( i am planning on going to a L98 as soon i can find one though) Basically is it worth to buy it for the tbi ?

A Vortech V-1 on a TBI will get you a lot more performance than a N/A TPI. You can expect 300+ hp on the crank with minimal modifications. (better fuel pump and FMU)
