B&M blower question??

I have recently purchased a older B&M blower set-up for my Pontiac 462. The model number is 90689 174cu.in. its a universal set up that bolts to a standard aluminum intake carb flange. The questions I have are to the BBC folks with a similar size motor and blower. How do you like your set up for street use? What camshaft do you use?

I searched Pontiac forums for info, but there just is not much to be found! Im wondering if Chevy folks can help me out. thanks! Mike.

can you post photos of this blower?
is it new?
where did you get if from?
i'd like to see it, and see how you set it up too

cam specs are going to be derived from head flow, etc...
blowers, N20, turbo's like longer lobe seperation angles on the cam, compared to a NA motor.

pontiacs truly benefit from longer exhaust durations
i'd contact larry at Lazer cams, Butler, Kaufman or Nunzi for info, they will steer you in the right direction.

You should like that blower, I understand they are good for around 600 hp.

I tried to post a picture, but it says the file is too big?
The blower set up is from the mid 80's its a universal that bolts to a square flange intake. it just sits in on top of the intake where the carb would sit. I picked this up locally in the Detroit area.
The guy I got it from, ran it in a 3400 lb car with a old crane fireball
cam with a 455 and ran 11.3's Then it sat for 15 years till he had to sell it for cash $$ so he could go faster with his 871 I had to buy this thing because there pretty rare and its in good shape!
The guy i got it from had to machine a spacer so the crank pulley would fit right. This unit had a 6 rib belt set-up, but was converted to a 10 rib with a pulley swap.

My heads flow 240 at .5 lift intake and 200 at .5 exhaust 28in thats what my cylinder head guy said lol. The heads are iron and I plan on running a 3.55 gear.

600 hp sounds good to me!!
