Fogger system or no?
Well, for a while I was tossing around the idea of a tt setup but decided against it because I didn't build a motor for that purpose. I was think of a small shot of nitrous 100-200. I am looking at the NX Hitman kit but saw the NOS fogger that goes from 50-350? I have the bosses on my team g intake to tap into but is it worth the extra 200 dollar price tag? What exactly is the difference and purpose of a fogger compared to a spray bar design other than direct port injection?

Is it worth the extra dollars over the conventional setup? If I am going to do this I want to do it right but is it overkill for a 383 with no forged internals?

Depends. What parts are in the bottom end? a 200 will be pushing the limits of a stock internal shortblock. Or hyper pistons. Hardly anyone 'needs' a DP system but a lot of guys run them b/c they are safer.

It has a stock crank and rods with hyper pistons. I know that I probably shouldn't do anything because I didn't build the motor for those purposes but I wanted something other than a plan jane build.

In your case, I would stick w/ a plate kit that goes to 200 and I wouldn't spray more than 150. A fogger system is a little more involved, more expensive, requires better fuel, and would tear apart your bottom end a lot faster. They have really good plate kits out there now, they've come a long way. I think the hitman or something of that sort will be all you need for a while.

I am going to be running a hitman plate under my carb. I too have a 383. (still being built) Mine is fully forged eagle parts, floting pins, Aluminum trick flow heads. My engine builder says it can take the 200 shot with no problem. Anybody wanna second that so i don't feel scared someday about blowing up my engine? hehe. Say says it can take more too....
If the engine can take it, I know my 12 bolt can too, but now I am worried about the T-56.
