any 88-90 procharged intercooled formula's or firebirds here?
I am looking for some good pictures of the intercooler installed. I have gone through so many posts looking for some and the closest I can find are a couple pics of some gta's. the problem is I have no ground effecs and want to know how far in and up the intercooler was mounted.
if I leave it down it looks retarded as you could see the intrcooler as clear as day.
if I mount it up similar to a few camaros (irocs, z28s) the metal bumper bar (impact bar) will keep the air from flowing through part of the finned area.
if anyone has some good CLOSE up pictures it would be a great help!

I have a GTA, but would like to see some pics too.
I am planning on putting a tranny cooler in too and am not sure where the intercooler fits in with that and the front air dam as well if I were to get a s/c kit.

I don't know how but, I seemed to miss your post. and I did so many searches and thought I went through every post possiable.
I seem to be ok with moving it around some (no fog lights) but, like you were saying in the post it still does sit to the drivers side more or the outlet tube won't have enough room.
you don't happen to have any pictures of the tubes attaching to the intercooler do you? if you want I can send you pictures of what I have done and what I am looking at.
as a note I have all the parts for the eng. bay to everything down the fenders.
I have the two rubber 90 deg. bends aiming forward at 45 deg.
I have to make the rest of the tubes from some a U-bend I have and some other mandrel bends as
I still have yet to find a formula like mine (87-90) or even a pre 90 firebird with pictures of there setup.

here is the formula air dam see how it sticks way out in front, the center sticks forward a good 4" or more from the rad. not to mention it has very little depth so the intercooler would block 85% of the air path!!!!
