What kind of turbo do I have?
Got this turbo for cheap. Just curious what it is and maybe what it came off of. It says AiResearch on it. M10 on the compressor side, 63 on the turbine along with "JWI" before the airesearch.
It's also got newer looking bolts/brackets holding the compressor housing on and a 4 stud exhaust housing. How would I get a flange for this?
How much is too much shaft play? The compressor has slight side to side play and there's pretty much nothing else. Looks to be only oil cooled?
Help a guy out?

That's a Garrett T3 4-bolt turbine housing, it's a little newer design than the more common 5-bolt housings. Being that it's a .63 a/r, it's my Talon's turbine housing exactly. I can't tell what size wheel that is though.
When I have more time I can find a 4-bolt flange for you, or just search for one on google.
The compressor housing looks like a T3, I don't know otherwise.
Yeah, it's only oil cooled.
"Slight" side/side play isn't bad, depending on how slight. My Talon's compressor wheel could just about touch the housing, it's been fine.

Here's that 4-bolt flange in SS...

You might be able to find it cheaper if you look around, but that looks to be a nice SS flange.
