D1SC on a 10.5.1 engine need info ?
Hi,
First i have ordered a D1SC whit an intercooler for my Ta-84,
i have a 10.5.1 sbc engine 420hp + 150 nitrous currently,
As stated by the documentation & information i have i should be able to use 8psi whit the intercooler on a 10.5.1 engine..
Does someone here have tryed a procharger on higher compression ratio engine ?
Thanks for any info that..

10.5:1 is a little high for 8 psi. You'll need to either run higher octane gas or retard the timing a little. Aluminum heads and forged pistons would also be beneficial. Just my .02

For what you paid for the D1SC setup. Id put some 8.5:1 slugs in the motor and use the SC to its full effects.
As said 10.5 is high to be running anything more then 6psi. (thats my opinion)
If you must keep the motor as is. Id make sure you have a good tune. dont run that NOS Booster crap either. Its all junk. Run some Cam2 and do a alky injection setup.

Thank for the info...
I'm looking to build another block, i think this would be my best bet...
gta324 : do you have an intercooler ?
Whit intercooler i should be able to push 8psi i think
if you run at 6 whitout one..
Is the power increase noticable at 6psi ?
