Any of you with power adders using CryO2?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you with power adders have had any experience of CryO2 products? To cool the air intake temps, help the intercooler(s) or cool your fuel?

The company claim it can work wither as a full kit or only the components you want which include the tank and install kit, cryogenic air intake, cryogenic fuel bar, and intercooler sprayer. .

It is apparently made by Design Engineering Inc's and was voted best new performance product by SEMA in 2002

It claims to - "to harness the cryogenic properties of liquid Co2 to lower the air/fuel intake charge by up to 60%. The system is modular and can be easily expanded. The CryO²™ system provides two methods of cooling the air charge and one method of cooling the fuel charge all utilizing the same burst of liquid Co². Co² is readily available at any welding supply shop or where paintball guns are charged. This system can run wide open for ever 3 minutes before it needs recharging, thats alot of trips down the 1/4 mile."

I searched on thirdgen for info on this and only came up with it mentioned in these two below linked threads - neither of which are much help.

A search on google yielded various bits of info from some sites and several vendors site. Some of these are linked below:-

Some sites mentioning it:-

Some vendors:-

So guys, is this all just a gimmick or could it help those with thirdgen's and poweradders?

I like the intercooler sprayer idea. I have no experience with it personally, but seen an SRT4 using it which supposedly ran 11's on a stock long block. I wouldn't mind trying it, but for the price wouldn't a nitrous system cool the intake air and add even more power? I guess the CO2 would be easier to find filling stations for, and would probably cost less. I would like to hear from someone who actually used the product.

Does anyone else have any input? Do you think it might be worth trying, or think it would be a waste of money? Any experiences?
