for anyone who has read Corky Bell's Maximum boost...
If i read this lengthy book about turbo charging will i be able to do a complete installation correctly on a 88' camaro I-roc with a 305 tpi?

it tells you how to design a turbo setup and how to chose the right parts, NOT how to build one.

Assuming that you can fabricate already then you'll get something, but I'd bet that it won't be perfect. If you're looking to understand what's going on I'd suggest you get a good handle on McInnes "turbochargers"

my dad has a friend that is big into fabrication so that won't be a big problem but i wanna turbocharge my 305 in my iroc so i'm just trying to find some sources that will enable me to make a complete system.

I would suggest reading the two books mentioned- Maximum Boost and Turbochargers by Hughe McInnes. McInnes book was very helpful for me, but unfortunately it is slightly outdated. I liked Bells' book too and enjoyed reading both. For me, seeing all the pictures and diagrams of a 'properly' designed system was helpful, and I'm sure it will get the wheels turning in your head!
