Intake choice
Hey guys I dont post alot but have been lurking for a while. Im building a single turbo setup for my 87 SS. It will be a daily driver and i plan on about 500+hp on pump. I will be running FAST for my fuel manegment and im building a SCB 350 with AFR 210 heads. One of the many things yet i havent fully decided on is what intake to use. I see many use a victor Jr style intake my main concern tho is hood clearance. I have to use a stock hood its a must. I want the car to look basicly stock for the most part. what intakes are out there ive done a few searches but not comming up with much. Any help is apreciated thanks.

you are talking EFI right? you gotta be if your using FAST, anyways.. victor junior converted to efi will work, thats about the best you could get but also expensive, otherwise theres TPI (in boosted app. it flows fine... in N/A it sucks) LT1 converted, holley stealth ram (HSR), mini ram, super ram. all will work for your 500 HP goal. if money is not a concern then go with the vic jr, if your on a budget like most of us i would go LT1 conversion, you can buy one with fuel rails, throttle body, etc for under $200 off ebay, and have it converted at www.lt1intake.com for around $200-250...

Yea id like to go the vic jr route on the intake im just woried about hood clearance. Tho going with a LT1 or stealth ram setup it is alot cheaper an no clearance issues at all. Not to mention cheaper throttle body setup.
