Roots type Blowers questions
I was wondering I wanted to supercharge my Camaro but my car is carbureted. I was looking at roots type blowers but I was wondering about hood clearance. I know it will not fir under a stock hood but what about a SS hood? I was been researching manifold & blower highest the blower sits aprox. 4-inches taller than a Performer RPM manifold. With the largest drop base on the market you think I could clear it? Or maybe a TBI bonnet? And use a remote air filter?

I think you'd need a little more than a 2.5" cowl to put a mini-blower on your car with an air cleaner.
Want hood clearance? Go with a centrifugal

Yea but centrifugal needs a blow through carb. I just bought a new carb so I don't want to go out and buy another new carb.

Places like The Carb Shop can rebuild your carb for you precisely for your engine combination ...Although, they can be a bit pricy. But, in the end you'll have something capable of insane horsepower (unlike a mini-blower)
