I was wondering how old this series is, and how much boost it can produce? I have found a kit for my 92 TPI 350 Z28, also is the unit self contained for lubrication? Thanks.

The SN200 was discontinued about three years ago. With the factory pulley it produces 8 PSI. There are other pullies available that will produce up to 10 PSI. Just watch that you don't exceed the 38,500 RPM limit on the compressor. It is sealed and self lubricated. It uses Ford Mercon trans fluid for lubrication.

Thanks for the info. I am going to put this on a stock engine with 32,000 miles, the only mods I have made to it is- gutted airbox, SLP runners, Accell super ram base intake, removed cats, and Flowmaster muffler. The car has run a 14.34 @ 95 in the quarter. The Paxton sn2000 kit I am getting comes with a 2 bar map sensor, boost gauge and re-programmed chip. Is there anything else I will need to maximize the performance of the blower? Also the kit is coming with no installation instructions. Thanks for your help.

You should be alright with what you have. I would watch that you don't run lean at high boost/engine load.
When I installed mine I also put in 30# injectors and a MSD6-BTM ignition just to ensure that I would get enough fuel and good spark under high cylinder pressures. Although being an 1987, mine is running MAF, so yours is different.

Thanks Blown87, I appreciate your help. May I ask how much of a gain you had with the blower as opposed to naturally aspirated. My goal is to run in the 12s.

I have not run it on the track yet, It will see the track this year though. But the increase in performance was excellent. In the back of the Paxton owners manual they have a warning to be carefull because your car's performace will be greatly increased, and they weren't kidding. 12's should not be hard with the supercharger.

Hey Blown87, I am looking for a Paxton owners manual for the Tuned Port engines. You would not know how I could get a hold of one would you? I contacted Paxton, but they can't help me. All I need is the installation of the kit. I could probably figure it out but I would rather do it right the first time. Thanks

When mine was a stock 305 with port matched lower intake,
ported upper intake, Large tube runners, headers, and a SN2000 I ran a 12.99 @ 108 mph.

LBSZ28BLOWN, where did you get the intake duct for your supercharger? I have been trying to find something like that for mine but have had no luck.

I had it custom made by Westcoast bending.
If I do the SS hood I'm going to change the Ducting to the Suprecharger, so this will be for sale.

LBSZ28BLOWN, are you using the water injection that came with the kit? Mine came with a windshield washer pump, Which I dont think will atomize the mixture very well. Also, I noticed the PAC controller in your mods. Can you tell me how that works? I e-mailed SMC Enterprises, who makes a sweet alcohol injection kit and he said I may want to look into a progressive controller. Thanks for any help.

SharpZ28,
No I'm NOT using the suplied pump or kit for water Injection from Paxton.
I'm using a surflow pump with a max psi of 100psi, I'm using high
pressure steel braided line from the pump to the nozzle with all
thread on fittings, and I'm injecting 100% methanol NO water.
The PAC controller is awsome, you can buy everthing from Julio
at (www.alkycontrol.com), the PAC controller adjust the voltage
going to the pump by sensing manifold pressure from a supplied
2 BAR map sensor, you can adjust the turn on point, how much flow at that turn on point, and how quick it ramps up the flow per psi of boost.
Hope that helps

Thanks for the info. I am straight on it now, was a little confused at first. Sounds like you have a good set-up. I am going to look into the kit you have, for mine. Thanks again.
