New roots blower for EFI vortec engines

From Magnacharger.

http://magnacharger.com/pr010.htm

Looks pretty cool. Gives a new flavor to supercharged and efi motors? It can be intercooled too. Looks pretty bad arsed to me. Vortec flow, supercharger power... looks to be like a good combo. :lala:

I saw it first in PHR mag. The inlet elbow at the back was on the other side, and it was mounted to a motor at SEMA.

I wonder if you could buy just the baseplate, then buy a used eaton blower off ebay and save yourself some $$$.

nope.

not only do you need their whole *** backwards (literally) drive assembly, but the mating flange between the Ford M112s and the aftermarket is totally diffrent.

the kit isnt that new... its been out since before i bought my M112....

if you want the cheap(er) production blower, you cant use their intake

I just noticed that announcement last week, so I gave them a call, and they said it's still not available. The guy I spoke to said that they posted that announcement about six months ago (way premature), but they hoped it would be released by this Christmas. He also said it might cost up to $7000, but should make close to 450lbs of torque on a 350. Time to get that TKO!

WHy would you spend $7000 on just an M112 supercharger kit.

you could get a Procharger and a half for that with all the bells and whistles that would almost certainly out perform the non-intercooled eaton.

450 ftlbs of torque on a 350? When you have a roots style blower that is not a number to brag about...Hell my crate 350 motor has 400 ft lbs NA and its just a mild 5.7...

Yeah, I agree you could easily make more torque than that for less money with a 383. But one of the things I like about the system is the multi-port fuel injection, and computer controlled mixture. I currently have a carburetor, and wouldn't mind increasing my gas mileage while still making tons of power when I want it.
