??? Twin turbo C/K1500 Chevy Truck ???

Sorry I know this is not a truck forum but I could not find one to save my life and I know you guy know your stuff over here on the fbody forum.

Anyone ever herd of anyone doing a twin turbo chevy truck. I have an S-10 and need to go to a bigger truck. I was thinking about a 94-99 C/K1500 with the 5.7 liter. There is more after market goodies for those motors that the newer vortec's for example stroker kits. I was wondering though if anyone has ever slapped some turbos in one of these. There is a bit of room in the engine bay so I think something could be worked out fairly easy. Any thoughts??? Thanks!!!

Thanks a bunch, checked out and bookmarked the site. They didnt have any info on custom turbo setups. They did have two links to kits, one looked ok (single turbo with crossover) and the other was that company that mounts the turbos in the *** end of the 4th gen camaros. They offer one for the silverado that mounts in rear too.
I know that mounting the turbo way down stream of the exhaust is not good. Sounds like they just use a smaller turbine on to compensate. If I were to do it that way it would be super easy mounting a turbo just after the cat converter. The is a bunch of room under a full sized truck. I know the better option would be to make a set of log manifolds out of the schedule 40 stuff and keep it close to the heads as possible.

Did the trucks those years have TBI, and if so it ok to boost them or is their a problem with even fuel distribution to all the cylinders? I would like to keep this simple and just use a rising rate fuel pressure regulator and inline fuel pump with low boost 5-7psi.

94-95 were tbi, the rest had the vortec inatke... vortec heads/motor very good, but that intake doesn't flow worth a sh*t, still better than tbi though, as far as an easy swap i'd say if your ok at welding make some log tube headers, but you'll need to either convert to something like a 749 (syclone/typhoon) ecm that senses boost and adds fuel accordingly, or an FMU, which i dont know too much about but i know most people dont really like em, but they come with basically all supercharger kits, so cant be too bad
