i've seen some pic's of that car but want to see them again. Do you/he have a web page? I'm considering putting one on a carbed 355 and run around 6-8lbs of boost. I need to see how it's mounted. I've looked a saterns bu but don't want to cut my hood.

heh, I'm pretty sure that it wasn't really representative of what it runs... it's best was 326hp... It ran an 11.6@119 a week or 2 later in the same trim...

Because he probably tuned it between the dyno and the track?

‘cause all chevy’s run 10’s at 130mph?

and no, it’s not really about tuning it either… inertia dyno’s aren’t kind to blown cars unless the inertia of the drum is about equal or greater then that used to accelerate the mass of the car. Turbo and supercharged cars make proportionately more torque when the engine is heavily loaded, so you’ll get higher numbers the heavier the drum is or lower with a lighter drum, unless the dyno operator “adjusts” things to read more favorably.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it here again, dyno numbers are next to useless when comparing different dyno sessions or different cars. Back to back passes on the dyno with no changes to the dyno are useful for tuning, but are not a great indication of what power the car is making and how fast it will run.

Well, since you guys are asking and since I don’t have any web space to upload them to, I’ll put a few pics up here. The car is in the body shop right now getting redone (it got hit by a snowplow last spring), I snapped some progress shots yesterday (and also some of the only shots of the roll bar and current engine setup…).It’s in the process of loosing a bunch of trim, little courtesy doodads (like the turn lights, it actually had lights mounted in the fenders that would light up the side of the road if you turned the signals on…)
