Differences between the MSD 6AL and Digital 6 ?????
Just wondering what others have found in the differences between the MSD 6AL and Digital 6.
I just ordered the Digital 6 for my supercharged TA at the advice of Thunder Racing.
I have a 5 speed and will be able to utilize the rev limiter.
I like the digital technology for the small difference in price.
Just wondering what real world differences in performance were.
Thanks.

the performance is neglible imo.....
i hear some people like it and have no problems, but i hear more people who like it but have a lot of problems with it.
make sure you keep your receipt handy....you might need to get it replaced under warranty eventually

I am running boost, but do not need the retard function.
I was advised by Thunder Racing to get this over the MSD-6AL.
Just pulled off a Jacobs that had a bad computer. Don't want to go through this again.
Searched the posts and other than your comments I found no bad rap on them?????
Anyone else?

like i said, it varies. Some people have good luck and some dont
No matter what company you go with for aftermarket ignition always keep the receipt handy cuz they do crap out a lot. No matter who makes them
just something i've noticed

MSD has great customer service, i wouldnt worry about the receipt, i have never had problems nor have my friends, with them.
like previously said, they are VERY sensitive to voltage/shorts
i have heard that removing the positive battery cable, before the negative, can fry them, welding on the car will fry it, etc.
but, i can tell you this, a buddy of mine got bit, while his camaro was running, that DIGITAL 6 put him on the ground in spasms.
those things put out alot of power.

Yea. I just got mine. It looks very impressive. MSD states that it runs a bench test on every unit.
It has various safety features to protect the unit also.
Looks like a top of the line item.
I bought it from Summit and they give a 90 money back gaurente so I feel very secure with this purchase.
They seem to be selling very well used on EBay too. Almost as high as new.
I'd rather have new with warrenty!
