I would say by looking, now this is just a guestimation based on me staring at it til my eyeballs are sore as well as staring at similar rides, that he has very slightly minitubbed it and they look like a 10.50W (MT) on a 10 inch rim.
I have a set of worn out 28x12.5x15 ET streets (which means they are not even close to 12.5"). My intention is to mount them on my rims to see what it will take to run them regularly, i.e. cut, modify, hack...
The rims I have are a set of 8.5" convo pros, I believe they are 5.5" backspace. I did try a set of 28x11.5x15 tires on a matching set and they fit, until I hack up my ride this will be the tire of choice. I used to run a 26x10.5x15 (like in my JYD video) but they are too short of a tire for 4.10 gears in my opinion.
Remember all these are MT ET Street tires and with ET Streets, the only measurement that is even close to actual is the rim size (15). So please dont think when I say the 28x10.5x15 ET street size listed on the tire that I actually mean a 28" by 10.5" by 15" tire. See the small catalog of these tire at thier site to see what I mean.

I would have to say you are correct about the 10.5w tire. Here's my baby, and she wears MT 30x13.5x15 ET Streets out back, which puts 11" of tire on the ground.

Sorry no mini-tubs. Full round-tube backhalf from the firewall back. I can stuff a 17x33 in there with the right backspacing. The chassis builder reccomended I leave as much rrom as possible, should I ever sell the car, and the new owner wanted to run something bigger than 30x13.5. I first tried subframe connectors and a drop-in 9 inch from Moser, but the car just twisted way too much, as you can actually see paint cracks in the rear B-pillars near the roofline. All of that running 12.90's. I got off the wallet and did it right for once and all.

The cage was built around the stock trim.

FWIW, those are 275 50 15 BFG Drag radials which they listed at the time as being 26x11.8” (they’ve changed their sizing some time in the last few months, they’re listing them as 11.3” wide now), and they were actually pretty close to that.
They fit well, but in a perfect world they would have been 27-28” tall and on rims that put them in about ¼ - ½ inch more (there did appear to be room in the wheel wells). More importantly they seemed to work well at the track, but hopefully in the near future I’ll need something more serious.
