Track update for T.Hess

Went to the track Sat. to see Tory (Blown406Bird) make his last 2 liscense passes. It turned out to be a great day.
Leaving soft off the foot brake, the first pass sent him towards the wall, and the run was aborted.
Second pass was ran immediately after the first, and netted a 9.27@151.7 . This was the best run to date, and that was with only a 1.47 60', and the inlet temps were way high (round robin run, left us with no ice in the I/C tank).
Last run of the day was after a series of promods, the track was sticky, but the car took the line of the last promod that ran, which was a hard left to the senter. Tory managed to pedal it, and still ran a 9.50@150.
This car has a lot left in it, and with a better 60' we should be seeing some 8 secon passes soon! And he isn't even leaning on the supercharger yet!
BTW. the 1/8 mile mph was over 120. This setup is makin' some serious HP!
Stay tuned, more updates to come

Thanks for the post Don and all of your help on Saturday. The car was hauling some serious ***. I still cant believe how much it picked up from a couple degrees of timing.

I ordered the shocks today and sent the form in for my license.....so I'm hoping to run on the next Saturday night shootout We'll see if it all comes together.

Tory, Sat night should be a blast!
I'll definately be down to give you a hand. We shoul have jeff's car down there too. Should be a good night!
P.S. This is the most street driven 9 second (8 second ) vehicle you would ever see. We have gone for rides lasting over 2 hours. It is truly amazing.

good run tory!!!!!! congrats on the new setup!!

a friend of mine also had a good trip to the track. He was running 9.78 at 140 previously on a 200 shot he runs 10.80's all motor at 124mph. everytime we put 250 or 300 on it the car does not pick up at all. well we figuired somewhere ther is a restriction. Well it turned out to be the exhaust. He ended up putting a cutout in and boy did it like that!!!!! after going back to the track and opening the cutout his first pass was a 9.58@144mph!!!! he backed it up with a 9.57@144mph!!!!

He then went to the local 1/8 mile and ran it with the 200 and spinning the tires 1.49 60ft from the usual 1.38's went a 6.23 at 112. well in went the 250 pills. he spun again 1.47 60ft and went 6.11 at 116mph!! so at least we know where the restriction was "we think"

his car consists of a 406cid,afr 220s, and a solid roller 258-264dur@50 630-638 lift on 110 lob sep and weighs 3250 with him in it.

car is 100 percent street legal, insured, and registerd he drives it 20 miles to the track when he races it
