header question? it there any diff?

summit has headers for next to nothing compared to what i have seen and i want to get them. but fist i want to no whats up with them there must be a resion they cost that little? are they ok to get, what i mean is it the same power gain as anyother headers out there???

the cheap ones usually have thinner tubing.

or like you said they might not flow as well because the dia. of the tubing is smaller.

Those headers are quite small. I would say they would be fairly detrimental to any healthy 350.

Try to find atleast 1 5/8 primaries if not 1 3/4s. collectors on those sized headers are normally 3inch.

what about a 305 with 3" exhaust, still to small? i just want to get them and they turn out bad.

well its not so bad then but if you are looking to get the most out of your 305, i would go with something larger. Hedman sells a set of shortie headers that are only $100 and i believe that they have 1 5/8 primaries.

BTW, you may not be able to just bolt any headers on without some custom Y pipe work or a Y pipe sold by the company that makes the headers. Hedman makes a really nice packaged deal. I would look into that at Summit.

thanks for the info, saved me from a mistake. would u happen to no the part num or link i am tryin to find them and gettin no luck, are they under streed headers @ summit??
