Supercharger Help Please
Hey I need some help, last time i posted it turned into a roots vs centrifigal argument.
Anywho, I have a vortec headed 350HO i plan on putting either the Vortec carb SBC kit on or more than likely the ATI pro charger sbc carb kit with the P1SC upgrade. I have a few questions tho:
Which kit do you guys prefer? Roots is out of the question, i dont want to adapt it to vortec heads and I have no hood clearance as it is. Plus i like the stockish look of centrifigal.
Also, my main question is how does the mechanical fuel pump know to increase fuel pressure when boost is added? ATI had a diagram showing an air tube running from the front of the carb (vacuum???) to the fuel pump. Any help? Finally, what should I do to the carb?
Thanks guys,
Seth

if you wait just a bit longer the vortec bases for roots are just around the corner (any day now probably). Otherwise this will be a post about how you wish you had waited so you could have made it so much easier on yourself. I will check my connections.
