Tomei wide band O2 sensor

Here is Japans answer to finding out if you are running rich or rean. It is made by a company called Tomei and comes in at about $400.

Now who here didn't laugh out loud?

So are you running Rean??? and what the hell is the BS in the box for? Are you supposed to feel the exhaust for a temp reading first, what a bunch of poopie, most people know a lambda sensor doen't work properly at low temps

I think it is a translated warning indicating that the reading is not dependable until the engine (and sensor) are warmed up. I see strangely translated stuff all the time from the orient. it is usually due to a literal translation word for word that doesnt quite match our bastardized version of english syntax. having a list of japanese words with the english counterpart written next to it is the usual cause. this gauge looks interesting. How many wires come out of the O2 sensor? the cheapest W/B O2 I have ever seen cost $400+ and didnt even come with a gauge let alone work with one. Remember, just because it displays in a wide band format doesnt mean that it is. Nordskog sells a gauge that runs on our yes/no style O2 sensors that uses a sampling buffer that looks at the samples versus time to come to a wideband style output (they actually work very good). they are nowhere near $400 the norskog site is down but here is the summit price link
