LT1 procharger P600B??
anyone know if this model can be made to work with a tpi; how different is it from the tpi version?
what would be a good price to expect to pick one up used with a 2 core intercooler??

KandiedZ,
You'll be able to use the head unit and the intercooler, but most likely you'll need a different mounting bracket (for the blower), piping and a different p/s hose (needed for clearance)...$2000 seems like a fair price if in "like new" condition. also find out if it comes with a FMU, unless you plan on running a aftermarket ECM or a superfueler.

thanks larry, i've heard that the direction of the spin on the headunit varies between different models; i know this is the reason i can't use a "lS1" model for example. are you sure that an lt1 isn't out of the question?

Don't quote me on this, but i think the LT1 kit spin the same way as a L98, they are just a low mount kit. The LS1 kit in the C5 Vette sits backwards, i haven't seen a LS1 f-Body kit yet.
here's a pic of a '02 C5 w/D1sc

thanks larry, i think i'm going to drop that idea. they guy wants 2,000 for it and it's only 3,000 brand new.....it would be worth it to me to pay a little more to have the security and someone to deal with if there were problems.
those sites you gave me have quite a difference in prices, one charges less on the actual kit but more on the polishing and vice versa?
i wish companies would just have a set rate.........so far i've had 5 different prices from 5 different people and that's wrong.

i will complain because someone who may not have the resources to be fully informed will get ripped off; you think thats ok?
i've heard over $2,000 in differences while searching for the same damn thing. that's screwed up and you think its ok.
or the fact that because of people like ourselves who can search across the continent now have to spend months to try and find the shop that will rip us off the least, you think thats ok?
something should cost what it's worth....and obviously they aren't applying that basis, they want to see what others will pay for it. that i think is .
the jobber price is a set price, so why can't the retail price? think what you want but i don't agree with it.

Each company sets their own price, they dont force you to pay it, there will always be morons to get ripped off and those who do their research and get a good price, the world will still spin, its things like price fixing that leave HIGH retail prices on stereo's etc.

Jeff,
Both companies, (performanceSS and tenacious motorsports) have great customer support.
Everybody could charge ATI's suggested price, then we'd all have to pay out the a$$...
I can help you with the install, if you need it...when the time comes.
