Track times
Went to the track Wednesday night to get some seat time and see if the car would even come close to hooking. The track was packed so I knew I wouldnt get to many runs. I decided at the last minute that if the car left fairly well that I would just run it out the back door.
The track was ****ty tonight, there was no groove to be found so I had Kyle line me up in the best spot possible. I brought it up on the converter a little and let the car roll out a few feet before I hit it. The car violently took off and started to skate towards the wall so I short shifted 2nd and it straightened right out. 2nd gear was pulling like crazy. I shifted into third at around 7200 and was on to a good clean pass. It started to surge a little in 3rd but after glancing at the gauges everything seemed fine so I held on and before I knew it I was flying past the lights. I pulled the chute and slowed down with no problem. That was one hell of a ride!!
I figured it was a good pass but wasnt expecting anything great since it spun so bad and was surging in 3rd. Now to the numbers.
60 ft 1.54
1/8 6.12
mph 118.98
1/4 9.39
mph 149.12
I was very happy with these numbers for the first time out. It was getting late so we packed it up and ended the night on a good note.
First thing I need to do is lean it out since it was blowing raw fuel in 2nd and 3rd. Thats why it was surging. Second is going to be working with the suspension to get this thing off the line.
The best part was that nothing broke and the ride was unlike anything I have felt before. I am ready to do it again!!
Thanks to all of my friends for coming out to watch and showing their support.

Thanks Tom. I have two videos that I will try to get posted on here. I watched them both on the camera screen and you can see the car skate to the right a little and then it's just taillights disappearing very, very quickly

Tory, words can't describe how happy I am for you! Killer car, and killer times to boot! I still cannot believe this happened on the first run with this setup. Jeff and I were on the fence, and I think we had more butterflies in our stomachs than you!
With a high 1.3 low 1.4 sixety foot I think the car will be in the 8 second zone! And to think this is the same car we drove around in all day saturday! This is an 8 second STREET CAR!
I don't know about you but... I have been smiling from ear to ear since you made that pass .
Congratulations! Now we need to have a party!

That had to be the single best night at the track in a year. All i could think about while video'ing from the rear was "let it go straight".
This is just the beginning man, cant wait to see what this monster will do when it hooks.
