305 TBI supercharger? Willie especially.

Ok, I haven't found a single Fbody TBI supercharger, I do not want to have to convert to TPI just to put a supercharger on. Here is what I want to do:

Engine
305
Holley 350 TBI
Edelbrock manifold (not sure with carb adapter or TBI)
Injector spacer
Pod spacer
AFPR
Custom tuning
TPI fuel pump
bored .30 over
Stroker kit (335)
AFR 195 CC heads
1.6 Roller rockers
SLP 1 3/4 headers
Full 3" exhaust (or dual 2.5"... open to suggestions )
Aluminum water pump
VERY open to Cam suggestions, as I have none.

Drivetrain stuff
Carbon Fiber driveshaft
Raptor 700R4
4th gen 3.23 posi rear end

Now with all of that... I am wanting a super charger Can anyone help with a link or at least some experience? Should I change to TPI? I am trying to keep daily driver, but with some kick in the pants excitement...

Is a supercharger overkill?

Also before I get drowned with the 350 posts, the reason I am buying the above parts is so that I can transfer it all (except for the stroker kit) to a 350 someday, if I so decide Got to love the SBC

Thanks Guys,

James

Also any idea on HP output with the above for before and after numbers?

good luck finding some TBI injectors that can supply enough fuel. Good luck finding a computer that can figure out what the hell is going on. :sillylol:

Put a carb on there and get one of those Vortech carb superchargers.

I'm not sure what your overall goal would be with this project, but I can pretty much assure you that supercharging a TBI 305 is not going to be the cheapest route to whatever performance goals you have. To make any kind of power at all, you're going to have to run so much boost that you're going to tear that 305 apart. The fastest I can really see a 305 going safely (that's forgetting about the fact that you have tbi) on the stock long block is maybe low 13s. Even with that kind of power I don't know how long the stock rings will take it.

I would not see a problem with the TBI supplying enough fuel, 350 injectors that are "matched", with an AFPR and say a TPI fuel pump would provide the fuel... Even if I went up the the 905 holley system. However after doing a LOT of research, I am probably switching over to TPI, and that's only because I want to add boost. Also the engine would be FAR from stock... Look at everything I am adding, the engine will be about as bullet proof as a street 305 can be

Thanks for the link. I actually have seen blown 305 TBI's website, however he just has a few pictures and really no more information. I did find a post of his where he explained how he got it, apparently you can't do that anymore... So I guess it's TPI the whole way...

Thanks guys

I don't know of any TBI injectors that can supply the kind of fuel you'll need. Even 454 injectors won't be close, and I don't know of any holley offerings that will be. You can run higher pressure but I'm sure those things can only take so much before their duty cycle gets AFU from the extra pressure.

being that the same blower head units on 305 TBI trucks work just fine in the TBI truck kit at the same boost levels you are looking for. I see that the stock TBI injectors when used with the same FMU used in the truck kit and the same inline fuel pump kit offered in the truck kit have no problems. we are not required to convert a truck to TPI in order to use the procharger kit on it!
