N20 tuning
Alright my car is almost done and its time to try the N20 setup
Now due to the general crap quality of fuel around here im am staying with a 50-75 shot using a Edelbrock Performer System.
I have my timing set at 18 base with 34 total all in by 2600RPM
The motor specs are as follows
350w Hyper Pistons 8-7:1 comp 2 bolt main
GM 882 heads, Comp Cams Ex268H , Performer RPM intake , MSD6AL , HEI with taylor wires, 130gph carter mech pump, Road Demon 625 68/75 a little rich but not much.
the plugs are stock heat range Accel Shorties gaped at .45
Now what I am going to do is gap the plugs to .35 add booster to 91octn fuel and run the 50 shot, The timing cant go much below 18 due to the cam/carb/intake setup.
Opinions Anyone ?
Thanks in Advance

Only 50 HP ???
Why bother ?
Heck, I'd dump 100-150 in it no problem...
Poor fuel quality can be dealt with by running the system rich, and the timing on the retarded side...
Generally 2 degrees retard for every 50hp increase in plate jetting...
If it were me, I'd be running about 38 degrees total advance without the juice, and 34 with it jetted for 50hp...(to be safe)
With 100-150hp jetting, I'd probably pull 4 more degrees of timing out of it...(30 total)
Although I'm near sea-level, so I can get away with better fuel, and more timing...
Are you running MSD ignition and retard boxes ???
Colder plugs ?
