Finally got my intercooler mounted in the car
Still have to run all the tubing but its in there finally. Ordered someshort radius 3" bends today and it should be here in about a week so I can get all the turbo and intercooler piping.
Exhaust piping should be coming along soon as well.

thats a cool intercooler but will it restrict your air flow to your radiator being in that location. i know that the air is kinda pushed
up and over into the radiator using the air dam but you have a big
pipe in the way also but maby im just seeing the pictures wrong.

I dont think that there will be a problem Darcom. There is plenty of room between the coolre and radiator. The air dam should be able to get the job done.

I see alot of guys running intercoolers like yours in place of the passenger seat but I like yours better. I would definitely be lookin at some serious electric fannage, but I have seen a great body of evidence that says to never intall on electric fan in front of another (pusher puller setups) but yours looks like a candidate for the urge to try. (pusher or puller on the intercooler) and a puller on the radiator. have you heard of this warning not to use one fan in front of another? I think it is in the flexalite catalog.

You guys are losing yourminds. There is MORE ROOM bewtween my radiator and intercooler now, then there is space in a stock thirdgen. A sotck thirdgen never gets any cooling from the foglight openings so it never flows through there. Its always up from the air dam. I have PLENTY of room down there too.

Guido,
Can't wait to see a vid of that thing run..
You couldn't mount the aftercooler so that it looks like a pyramid,
with the intake and discharge both being on the bottom with 90` bends??
Anyway, cool beans! i think over the winter I'm gonna look into ways of cooling my air charge with the vortech, without a mile of plumbing.. TPI is a rats nest as it is.
Good luck!

Looking good Curt!! You had to do some fanagling to get that thing in there. Great work. :hail:
Rhodes finished my IC install last week and I'm just waiting to get the tubing back from being coated. Unfortunatly I had to farm it out since I don't have a welder at my disposal. I'm happy with the end result, so I guess thats all that matters.
