Any differences between D-shape /Full Dish Piston
JE told be I need a dish in the mid30's for the CR I wanted. I have 62cc heads. They told me they could only make that in a FULL dish, the largest D-shape cup the could make is arounds 26-27cc's. I was considering opening my heads up alittle. I have never run a full dish,I have always run a d-shape. Will that mess up the quench or have any other problems? This is going on a serious HP blower motor. I have always liked a small combustion chamber and d-shape piston, but i may be out of luck.
What do you think? Go with a full dish?
Thanks

quench
it is a 400ci(4.125 bore,3.75 stroke). I am looking for 8.5cr(blower). I talked to a few people and they said," with a blower motor it is not that important(the quench) as in just a normally aspirated motor. The said the blower will be packing everything in there tight.
what do you think?
Wiseco said,"I would need 37cc dish". They also said tool steel pins and rings(hellfire rings) would be a wise choice. They said the rings would last twice aslong.

well i dont think you'll have a problem with that big of a dish
Bill Foutris of speedway racing was using large dishes in his 400 T100 combo with 55cc heads and was going mid 8s
Quench is important in a blower application........you cant just make it too large otherwise you'll be detonation happy
