auto or stick

ok i have heard plenty of people talking about how auto's are faster with turbos because you wont lose boost and what not...well say you put a 6 speed behind a turbo motor bith a BOV and such, how much slower would it be than with an automatic?Would it probably be a full second slower or more or less blah blah...just kinda curious thanks a lot.

Umm...

Hey

just want you to know I do not know a ton about turbos. But I think If you put smaller turbos on the engine with a stick it could probably run with a auto. Smaller turbos means less time to spool. But it also depends on how quick you can shift.

personally I would go with the stick. I like standards more than autos plus they are harder to break than autos

sorry

yeah, things were easier when I was still in school. I am working full time and getting about 60 hours a week. I barely ahve any time left to keep up on teh board.
But At least when I order my stuff I will be getting a %40 discount from edlebrock and gm.

I am working at napa. It is not all bad, I like but there are a few things that could be better.

when school starts again I should still be working but part time.

If you are going with the stick I would not put the largest turbos you could find on it. Find something that can spool quick.

I know volvo's designed their standard turbo cars badly, you barely get any boost. An auto will murder the same car but standard.

Good luyck with your project. I hope to have started mine sometime this winter. But It wil never be finished I am sure I will always be changing it.

Make sure the transmission you get can halde the torgue of your twin turbo beast.

Good luck
