First nitrous run tonight
Well I bought a new NOS 5151 kit off of one of my cascade crew brothers and installed it. I ran it for the first time tonight jetted for the 100 horse shot. Man was that a kick in the pants. Had a big old grin. She is in the garage cooling down. I am going to put in the jets for the 150 shot.
Everything ran great. No problems. I wanted to say thank you to all that have posted good and bad experiences with nitrous in the past. The search function is your friend and I took a lot of the advice to heart.
I will try to get to the track within the next month and post the actual results but the butt dyno says
There have been a lot of posts about the main nitrous feed line length being too short in the 5151 kit. FWIW, I mounted my bottle in the spare tire compartment and ran the nitrous line inside the car and then into the engine compartment through the fender. It worked out great.

Dreeew,
I wasn't really going for a top speed but if you care I did go over the century mark a few times. It was the first time that I had tried the system out and wanted to make sure the everything worked correctly. I put in the jets for a 150 shot now but it has been raining and I haven't tried it out yet.
Bob,
I'll let you know if I get hit in the side. Thanks for your concern.

My guess to what happens is as follows: If the bottle is open, the feed line could rupture and he will lose a perfectly good bottle of nitrous. And other situation is that the bottle gets a puncture and again he loses a perfectly good bottle of nitrous.

Thanks Omega. The question was interesting. What happens if you get hit in <insert location of bottle here>?
Anyway, fwiw, tested out the 150 shot this last weekend with no problems and an even bigger grin factor.
