Race Class

There is more then one person building a twin turbo car here, and I’m assuming that some of you drag race. I’m wondering if any of you plan on racing your car when it’s done? The reason I ask is that there don’t appear to be many classes that are friendly toward twin turbos, they are not considered a ‘single power adder,’ as required in many classes.

The car accident has put the twin setup on hold and while I’m waiting I’m considering looking for a large single instead. I think I’d probably rather do twins (more of a PITA but has better potential/driveablilty) but there doesn’t seem to be a good place for the little guy to race with them.

I actually have noticed that the ruling bodies have just such a rule designed to allow the twin turbo cars. But it limits the size of the two turbos used. which is fine with most of the turbo guys because it is within this allowance size most twin turbo guys use anyway, which is about the same as the performance from the supercharged guys.

B4C, what classes/sanctioning bodies are you talking about?

If I could run twins it's easier to build the rest of the car around the other rule (Since I've got to take apart the whole front end to fix the accedent damage anyway ex, can I use glass fenders, can I cut the inner fenders...) rather then change to a single...

I know the PSCA does, but check the NMCA and NSCA
