I might be the only blown 305 here... just can't think of anyone else off the top of my head....
If I like it or not???? Let's just say I find it totally gratifying when guys come over in the pits and cannot believe they've just seen a puny little 305 run the times I do....

FWIW,I used to run an old ball-driven Paxton on my 305 with great results.I know a Paxton and an ATI aren`t even comparable, but the point is, you should get some respectable power by supercharging the LB9. Once it`s on the car find someone to burn you a custom PROM and work on traction.A properly matched torque converter will help too.Good luck!!
Hey Willie,I see you got it to pull 117mph:hail: I went 11.66@116! Get it to stick & drop the ET and watch their heads spin

im thinking about putting a holley roots style blower on my 305 eventually (144 procharger i think is what its called) its only a 6psi blower and its 1700$ if i had a TPI motor id probably get a vortech since i hear they are the best

I dont hate paxtons but they are not my favorite. I must admit that a paxton kit might not be a bad way to go, considering it is for a 305. if you wish email me and I can check on a kit from vortech. they still offer the A-trim for an incredible price. it is not the best power head unit but it may be sufficient for a 305 project. I know that the A-trim mustang kit is really low $. I think an A-trim is about like a powerdyne (1st gen). the base kit and bracketry is the same so a guy could upgrade to the s-trim (a powerful piece of hardware) later or maybe the T-trim (if you want to use it in competition).

ATI, ATI!!!
I'ld say go with the ATI, it is capable of much more boost than the paxton. I have a 305 and like you, I've been doing some homework on getting a supercharger for it. Theoretically the ATI can deliver 16lbs of boost and an extra 300horses to a 305 with an opened up exhaust system(non-factory pipes). It will require about 100 ponies to run, but should overall just about double your horsepower under full throttle operation.
With the 16lbs. boost charger, you will need to put a scoop on or a cowl hood to fit that baby under there, but they make a much more modest one with dual air plenums that will fit under your stock hood. Street-Sleeper with an added whine, if your into that. I'ld personnally just get the larger one and let everyone know that you mean business.

heck why not just go with a really cranked up new F1sc I bet you could get about 25 psi on that 305 without any problems(just kidding)
actually I love the ATI's even a P1sc can be used to feed some serious power into some bigger motors (if you so decide to swap later) with just some pullies.
