camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
I'm looking for camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs. What size spacers/adapters are you using and offsets on the wheels. Want to put them on my 91, but don't want the wheels to stick out past the fender lips.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

here are more pics of other cars

go here for adapters, he will set you up. if you dont like the width, as long as its not custom, and you havent driven on it, you can send it back for a different size
http://www.skulte.com/
it is a +54mm offset

Where did you guys get your spacers? I just picked up a set of C5 Z06s, 17s and 18s. Can't wait to get 'em on my Z28 - scared to see how much tires are gonna run me!

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
Get a 4th gen rear end (direct bolt-in) and you'll only need the spacers up front.
If you play your cards right, you can upgrade from drums (if you have them) to discs, to larger discs if you already have discs, better gears, and a posi , if you have an open gear rear end.

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
I have 2 1/4" spacers/adapters on the front with 17 x 9.5 +56mm offset ZR1's, with 18" wheels you can use 2" spacer/adapters. On the rear, I used 2" spacer/adapters for now, swapping in a posi/disk 4th gen rear so I can loose the spacer/adapters and upgrade to a posi/disk. Once I get the rear in, I'm gonna do C5 front brakes, which I can then use the 2" spacer/adapters on the front since the brakes will stick out about 1/4" father than stock.
I bought mine from www.skulte.com. I have a friend who bought some off ebay, and he had to hit them on with a rubber mallet, who knows how he's gonna get them off when he needs to? The skulte ones just slip on and off real easy.
Check out the links in my sig. for more pics.

I am just not a fan of those wheels on our cars, just don't seem to flow, now don't take that wrong there are some hot cars on this post, I just think there are better wheel combos out there for the third gen. Just my 2 cents sorry if you guys dont agree.

Here are some 17 x 9.5" wheels with Nexen N3000 tires 275/40r17. I have 2" spacers all the way around. They do not rub at all, it is extremely close though.

i got 18x8.5 vette wheels with a 56mm offset, because they are an inch narrower than other vette wheels does this mean i should still run a 2 inch spacer?

18" 9.5 all around, but after my C5 brake upgrade up front, I ended up with 1.7" Skulte spacers front and a 4th gen rear.

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
so the adapter doesnt matter, as long as its 2 inch thick right??
http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada...5450-5450f.htm
so those would work with 2 inch thick and 5 spoke.

4.5 to 4.5 wont work on a camaro... the camaro and corvette have 4.75 inch bolt pattern... these are the ones you'll need. http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada...5475-5475c.htm

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
I bought a set of the ezaccessory.com hub-centric adapters, specifically labeled for corvette, camaro, from eBay.
since these are hub-centric, I measured the ID of the hub bore (the part that registers with the cars' axle flange):
2.767" 2.770" 2.770" 2.771"
I measure the axle flange hub diameters on my 90:
front: 2.781"
rear: 2.779" (9-bolt BW)
I just did one side of the car.
the ezaccessory adapter register that mates with the wheel hub bore measured at 2.765"/2.767".
on the C4 ZR1-style 17x9.5 wheels I bought, the hub bore is 2.796".
I think if I want to use these adapters, need to take them to a machine shop and get the bore ID increased 0.010" to 2.780". or is it normal to have a 10 thousandths interference fit? dunno...
and since I had the wheels off, BS on the stock IROC 16x8 rims is:
front: 4.5"
rear: 5-1/8"
just FWIW.

You can fit 275's just fine even with your car lowered. There are guys running 285's and 295's with cars that are slammed farther down than yours without any inner fender well modifications.
on the rear.... 285's on a 10.5" wide rim with 56mm offset and a 2" adapter will fit even with sportline springs, believe it or not. Tight as hell but it'll fit.
You may even find some running as wide as 305, that'd be pretty brave though without any mods.
Your car looks great! make at least those rear tires 275's and I think you'll take its appearance to the next level!
Keep it clean man! looks great!

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
yup, i noticed that too, rear bump stop is pretty darn close. car in pic was jacked up on left side, so right-side tire is tilted towards top of wheel well, closer to bump stop.
I'm going to be trying some 275/40/17's on 9.5x17 rims on my 90, but trying to stay close to the stock backspacing of 5.125 inches for the rear. new wheels are 38mm offset (6.75" measured BS), so have some 41mm spacer/adapters on order to get it all right. net BS calculates out to 5.13".
I almost had a cow before learning that 9.5" advertised width rims are 10.5" overall width. I guess the width is measured on the inside of the bead seat, seat to seat. as opposed to plain old rim-edge to rim-edge. kinda always wondered about that.

its just one side on mine that hits, the other has plenty of room, to me it looks like it was remounted on mine some how and just slashed my tire. and i didnt think about that at all when i got my wheels that they are 10.5 in wide over all! but oh well i got em to work! hopefully i will be running 275s again after i fix that one bump stop

Re: camaro pics with Z06 wheels and wheel specs
Doesnt the panhard bar affect the position of the rear end side to side. If your car is lowered you will need an adjustable panhard bar to fix it ryte?
