hydraulic clutch slave/master cylinder
I need the complete hyd clutch assembly. The rod on mine broke in half and it seems that I can't just replace the rod. I'm looking for a sealed never been disassembled or emptied hyd clutch assembly that will fit a 1989 T-5. Thanks.

Yea, the cheapest I've found so far from GM is $140 +shipping. That looks like what I may end up doing too. I just don't have all that money right now and was hoping to find a good used one for considerably less. Where is the cheapest place to buy them new? I can buy them through the garage I work for with a discount at the delarship and it is still quite expensive.

I'll try to find out. Guess I'll ask in the tranny forum. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

I'm confused. I want to say yes. I need the part and your price seems fair. I can't imagine why GM would use a diferent hyd clutch setup for what is basically the same tranny but I made a post in trans and drivetrains and the one answer i got there says they aren't the same. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=336123
As soon as I know for sure I want it!lol

Also, where did that part # come from? I can't find a refrence to it anywhere. It doesn't exist on gmparts direct. Typo?

OK, I found the reciept for the last hydrualic assembly i bought and it shows part #12527718 which is not in the book i have so part # may have changed. From what I see in the book it lists the same part #'s for the V6 and V8. What year and model is this going into. I will look at autozone.com amd see if they list a differnt part for the slave cylinder or master cylinder.........jt

Well, I searched autozone.com and put in info for a 92 Camaro with both a 3.1 and a V8TBI car and they list the same part #'s for the clutch and slave cyclinder assembly. slave was 10380 for both and the master cylinder was 13140 for both. With that being the case I would have to belive the complete hydraulic system would be the same for both.

I never thought of using a parts store to cross reference. Good idea! That part number I KNOW is the right one. I want it. Please remember not to seperate or disassemble or drain this part. It sounds like you are a guy who already knows that though. Please email me how you'd like to be paid. I do use paypal. I will email you with my address. Thanks alot for doing all this research for me. I have been trying but 'tis the season and I've been very busy. If you have the heat shield that goes with the slave cyl please incluse it as well as any hardware that I may need. It's always good to have extra hardware when pullling stuff like this apart. Thanks again and look for my email.

Just wanted to let you know I got it and all is well. Thanks for doing this so fast. The part looks new. Thanks also for packing it so well. There wasn't anything happening to this during shipping! It's been a pleasure. Take care.
