Stock Camaro 5500 Red Line Tach
I'm unsure of the years, perhaps 86-89. I believe the 5500 red line came in 350 tpi cars. Excellent condition needed.

My 84 Z28 has a factory tach with 5500 redline, it is a carbed L69 HO motor with 5 speed....Not for sale, just FYI to help you locate one since your not exactly sure what cars were equipted with them. Good Luck.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads-up--I know where there's a junked L69. I'll check.

James, if you're willing to go with a 6k redline tach instead, your search will get much easier (and cheaper). Most (all?) V6 Camaros had a 6k redline tach. Although the tach probably won't work with your car, it's a pretty simple task to swap the metal face plate over to your existing tach.

Thanks, Jim, that's another idea. Since the new motor red lines at 5500, however, I'd kind of like the caution, so to speak, at 5000.
ASR, got pics?

If it has a working tach with a 5500 red line, I'd be interested. A pic would be great.

Did you find a Tach. yet? If not I have one here like the one in the pic. above. If you pay shipping it's yours.

Many thanks for the offer. I'm still looking for a red line of 5500, however. The one above is 5000.

Must be the V6 version as described by Jim. Still looking for the V8 5500 red line.

Sincerely,
Kurt
P.S. I don't think the wiring cares what model it came from. This one worked just fine with our '86 LG4 harness on a 350 C.I.D. Therefore, if you find what you are looking for (from whatever it came from), I believe it will work just fine regardless of what it was originally attached to. Good Luck!
