Isky .485" 280 Hydraulic Flat Tappet Cam and fast bleed lifters, USED low mileage set
Isky 280HL hydraulic cam and lifter set. 30k miles, mint condition. .485"/.485" gross lift, single pattern, 232@0.05, 280 adv. duration, 2500-6500 rpm rev range. Matched fast bleed high rpm hydraulic lifters. They will not float the valves, I have run them over 7000 rpms with the correct valve springs and they are virtually float-proof. This is the closest you can get to solid lifter type high rpm performance in a hydraulic cam. I ran this cam in a 327 and it sounds MEAN, it has the classic muscle car choppy idle with a very noticeable lope at 850 rpm idle. I even ran it with a Holley Stealth Ram w/TPI mass air setup for a while without any major issues. This cam makes max hp at 6500 but loses less than 10 hp 6500-7000. It is a real screamer. I have marked the lifters so you can reinstall them on the correct cam lobes. I will take $50 plus shipping or $75 shipped within the US for the cam and matched lifter set. I can even provide you with the cam card that shows all of the cam timing events. I will not take less than my asking price so please don't bother me if you are a tire kicker. This cam and lifter set new is around $250 and it is in virtually new condition from an excellent running engine. I swapped in a Comp 275 DEH cam which has a nearly identical exhaust lobe but a slightly milder intake lobe. There is no noticeable difference with the new cam -- I should have kept this one. I was looking to see if a slightly milder cam would give me any more low end power with the small displacement 327 -- it really didn't. Just goes to show that even though this Isky peaks at very high rpms, it doesn't really cost you any low rpm power. It's a very nice grind.
