aluminum heads & intake for sale from 1987 Corvette TPI. awesome condition. Came with car I just bought and I am entertaining offers for the extra parts.reply if more info is needed.

I'll go get the casting #'s and let you know in about 15 minutes or so. I still have to format my digital cam so I could send pics a little later. as far as the price goes, I'm really not sure of values so I'm leaving it as "make an offer"

i believe 88-91 corvette motors had aluminum heads.....you have cast iron tpi heads. 188 are the last digits on the aluminum heads.

yes , my CAMARO has CAST IRON heads however when I bought the car the owner gave me the ALUMINUM heads as part of the deal. He installed Edelbrock heads on his 87 CORVETTE that was parked in his garage. The heads and intake are directly taken off of his 87 Corvette and thats what I am selling as described "aluminum CORVETTE heads and intake"......My local sale fell through so $400 BO for all..

if he has an 87 corvette it didnt come with aluminum heads, 88-91 were the years. so either he changed his heads once to the aluminum heads then changed them from those to the edelbrock heads. show some pics. because the casting numbers arent aluminum corvette heads. if someone would recheck it for me to make sure its accurate. i looked them up on nastyz28.com

I don't care anymore.......If anyone is interested in the heads that are ALUMINUM with those casting #'s than respond to the ad otherwise I don't think that the response that I am getting is not entertaining anyones reading pleasure.....................

They are the older L98 alum vette heads. Some members have gotten them to work well.
I looked into them about a year ago, but didnt feel like pouring machine work into a set of heads, so I went with the trickflows.
How are the valves and stuff in them? for the right price, I have a friend who has a 355 short block waiting for a deal on heads.

Here is what is shown for that casting number
14101128...86-87...350..........Aluminum, 58cc, angle plug
so if those heads are iron, they must be really light

no machining needed, all valves are good, everything looks great. The guy I got em from just wanted Edelbrock and he had a pocket full of money so you know how that all goes........

Is that $300 for the Heads & Intake together?? Any interest in a trade for a set of Vortec heads?

It doesn't matter anymroe but just in case someone was wondering what they were ACTUALLY.. (Some people just don't know even they think so).
85-91 TPI L98 Corvette head specs :
85-86 1/2 casting 624 IRON SMOG POS HEADS
86 1/2-87 casting 128 ALUMINUM SMOG HEADS NOT DPORTS
88-91 casting 113 ALUMINUM DPORT heads..
(These are the ones to get and usually go for roughly $400-450 on ebay and the corvetteforum..
Even the 128 heads are an upgrade from the POS IRON the poor Fbodies received on all the TPI engines.
Just FYI.
