Built 700R4(out of 92 Z28)+ART CARR N2O Converter

I am change my car over to more of a race only toy(powerglide). I have a 700R4 out of my daily driver. It has 2 years of street driving(8,000 miles) and some racing. I sevice the tranny every year. This tranny has been behind my 92TPI mild and 175N2O. HAS NOT HAD A PROBLEM! I usually ran low 1.5 60ft and very crisp shifts.

Mods: 9 disc Alto clutchs,The"beast"SunShell,13 vane pump,Kevlar Band,.500 boost valve, upgraded Sprag, Transco Shift Kit.

The converter is a NON Lockup Art Carr 9.5 " N2O converter. It stalled(flashing on motor 3200 and 3500 on 175N2O). This converter was not a problem driving everyday on the street or highway.

I spent $1400 on the tranny and $750 on the converter.

How about $1100 for both.
Can get pics
Thanks
Jeff

converter

Not right now. I do have another converter(custom built) nonlockup10" With anti ballon plate for supercharged or N2O. It stalled around 2800-3000 on motor(mild tpi) and about 3200-3400 on N2O. It is also for a 30 spline input shaft. It has less than 2000 street miles on it. $350 for it..thats about half what I got in it.

let me know
jeff

10" converter

It was made(originally) by Continetal Converters..but I wanted it alittle looser and had it restalled by a company in Ft. Worth.
I can send you pics tomorrow and a shipping quote.

tranny

yes it is,but it can be converted back to a lockup with a simple valve change in the pump and reinstalling the lock up solenoid. Only the pan has to be removed to do this.
