Some news on Thano and taking some collections for those who would like to contribute
I just got news today that Thano's parents are arriving from Athens, Greese today in Calgary, and will be there for awhile... as soon as I get an address and those who have contributed have done so, I'm going to send a boquet of flowers or two to Thano's family.
The funeral is to be held later this week and by request, his parents will be staying at a hotel for the first few nights, then going over to stay with family, exactly how long, I don't know, but I assume more than a week.
If anyone would like to contribute, let me know... you can paypal me your contribution or snailmail it to me if you don't trust paypal or anything...
what I was thinking was a boquet or two of flowers similar to the links below (obviously not the same as proflowers doesn't deliver to Canada but I've got that taken care of)

Dewey also mentioned that a collection and a big boquet from the group would be better than us all sending flowers at different times or whichever, and I agree.
my paypal address is xxchaoslordxx@aol.com
my snailmail address is
Aaron Thomas

I'm going to post this on TGO in a few different regionals as well, and am thinking once I am given an address and have taken collections from those who wish, I'll get the flowers sent out...
If anyone has any problems with the boquets I've posted, there are others and feel free to make selections, those just happened to be the largest and most varried...
If anyone has any questions feel free to email me at the above address or IM me at DemonZ28 on AIM

I've just been given notice that the celebration of Thano's life will be October 5th in Calgary.

Maybe we could get this as a sticky on the Tech board? Might be good to ask Dirk...

The funeral is being run by the NAVY, so it will likely be a pants and dress shirt/tie sort of thing. It is taking place at St. Anthonys Chruch. S.W Calgary, Its in an area called Winser Park. (Behind Chinnook center). 2pm Saturday. After there is a big celebration party at an millitary reserve close to the childrens hospital. Iam not sure of the name but will get it when I am told myself.

I'm going to be ordering the flowers with whatever money is collected by 2pm Pacific Standard Time...
So far the only other contributor aside from myself is AlexJH.
Was hoping to atleast get a reasonably large boquet but so far cannot... any other takers before tomorrow?

by the way this is meant to represent the members of cascade crew and thirdgen.org who talked to him on a daily basis or whom he has had some effect on one way or another... this is something as a group, not just individuals, as having a ton of things arrive after the funeral and after the parents go home and having to deal with a flood oft hings... which is kind of what I was hoping to avoid.
