A Comp License??.
I haven't had comp license in awhile and want to get one back. The passes and signatures shouldn't be a problem, but the question of a med history does concern me alittle. In my past I have had three heart attacks with three stents,a minor stroke, high blood pressure, diabetics. All under control.
So I am pretty sure I can get the doctor to sign off on this.I am very sure I am all about safety and would never put anyone or myself at risk.Just not sure how IHRA or NHRA is going to take my application.

Re: A Comp License??.
My IHRA license is good to 9.0 (class D) and I've never had to take a medical. If I crack the 8 second barrier, they simply upgrade the license to 8.0 (class C).
IHRA rules
A competitor who holds an inactive license is required to make 2 complete single passes to re-activate the license.
Current physical records are required for all professional drivers.
Professional drivers have also been considered top fuel, funny car and prostock classes. If a medical is required for some other class, you'll need to check the current rulebook for that class but I doubt a medical is required.
As for NHRA, you're on your own. They do everything they can to make it harder for you to race in fast classes.
