unless you just like the look, no need to backhalf it or do a bbc. plenty of cars going 7's-8's with a sbc with the stock style suspension. i wouldnt cut it up.

yes. the this last small block was knocking on 9s door without boost.
and only a 150 shot. and I could drive it all day.(drive to and from track)
a true street car.(and yes it did not always drive home...lol

this new one is more cubes(427) better heads and boost. from start to finnish

but I have always liked looks of the back half cars...and with the bigblocks
ya can make more power..(yes you can)
have been looking at a few rollers..cars wth all he work done to them. less spendy way to go. have seen a few in the $10.000 ball park
fantastic bodys good set ups.. just need to get it all rolled into a 92 z28. a lot of the 85/88/are out there..just me

have 2 of the most spendy hobbies...fullauto beltfeds..and hot street cars..

ya I only got min into the 1.50 60 foot avg.. with et streets and foot brake
eng only.no NOS. till 3rd gear. the 10.50s & the 90's were fun..

but now I can run boost from start to finnishw/ open headers
one day it will be a fast car

I just wish this last time. I put the car away. before I dug it out. I would have done some reading on what guys are doing now(last few years)
I would have not gone blower/stroker/nos/ but right to the EFI 572 from GM would have saved a few bucks doing so.
but the old school (Iv done this thing before) took over. well I did start off fitting bigger wheels & tires

not sure what you have planned for a blower, but a ysi or f2 or whatever on a 427 would destroy a n/a 572.

Re: 15 x10's, talk to me about back spacing

a vortech V1 T Trim. under 12lbs of boost. can go up to 25lbs of boost(they tell me)..ya ok.. it has a cog drive set up now. but no way would I ever try anything like that sort of boost. (55gal cans of 110 fuel now)are spendy.but they do drop off at the house..
running a larg air to air inrcooler also. has the boost was a 2nd thought.
as this was going to be just a NA small block running 11.to1 comp with 72cc heads(AFR 220 ELMTRS)..but I don't drive it but to car shows and the track so. why not add boost and good fuel... right

AND as a street car the billet cam.i kept under 255@ 50. and just under 650 lift. (yes I know it's a street car cam)
and the boost thing was a after thought.. could have tossed things together a bit better.. but im not running a race car
(I did not use a belt drive OR shaft mt rockers on this one) .they are still sitting in the boxs.

and you have to keep the LCA 's on the car with SSM bars/ladderbars. to run just the bars is wrong/Dangerous. even SSM stated in the install info to Keep them.
Contrary to what a few Folks THINK...there is No Binding. or what ever they seem to think..the guys who did not run the LCA broke parts and gave up.. this set up has over 500 track hits on it..
most of them in the 10.50's a few in the 11.70's.. but that's back in the 90's when it was 50 state smog ligt.

it's getting backhalf soon. this is also the last small block (427) im doing,,ever!
it's 572's as a base.. for now on...
This car may be for sale soon if interested....Not mine but a good friend. Let me know... Frank

yeah, pass number 4 or so on the new combo. drag week isn't about racing each other, it's about completing the event. i didn't even know there was a car in the other lane most cases

but yeah, a procharged big block tube chassis car is a little bit of a tough pair to a stock suspension, near full weight small tire car with a little 372" ALL MOTOR combo

I worry more about those unassuming stock suspension cars then a tube chassis car nowadays lol.

Never know what those stock suspension guys are hiding ;-) haha
