2013 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk
...just finished up today, sorry you missed it ![Wink](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Of course I attended, living about 5 minutes down the road. Had a fair bit of success, didn't blow anything up, and saw a few Firebirds that gave me ideas for the winter. Saw a few examples of very nice, clean modifications that really worked for the car, and unfortunately, a lot of examples of stuff just slapped on there. Met a guy with an 88 Formula, looked mint stock, with the same intentions of mine. Stock hood, rims, and has mufflers, running 11.10s with a 406 on spray, at 3600+ lbs race weight. Very clean car, and a nice guy too.
Highlights of the weekend:
-Won 4 rounds in Street on Saturday, went out taking .009 stripe, .005 too much, broke out 12.165 on 12.17 dial. Other guy was dead on 2, and I had him 2 on the tree.
-Won 3 rounds in Street on Sunday, lost to the defending track champion, who went on to win the class. Double breakout, and I took the stripe. Close, but I broke out a bit more.
-Took .0012 stripe on a 19 second Fiero
-Took .0041 stripe on a 17 second Montana van
A friend of mine yelled at me for trying to be a hero on the big end the whole weekend lol. 3 .00x stripes in 2 days.
Wanna ride?
