Hey Stephen 87 IROC w/in
I was checking out your webpage a little but I will ask you here.
Do your tires stick out past the body on your car? I read a previous post and see you run 15 x 10 with 5.5 bs rims and 28 x 9 ET drags.
Did you have to do any hammering to fit those tires?
I am thinking of going to a 15 x 10 from my 15 x 8. I am using a 27 x 11.5 15 Hoosier QTP right now on the 8" rim.
Just wanting to hook it a little better with a wider rim.
My best short time this year was 1.57 but Im aiming to improve on that this year.
Getting my suspension working better this year. 1.57 and lots of 1.59 and still no wheels off the ground! hahaha

My tires fit very well under the fenders.
The Hoosier QTP is a DOT tire. The 11.5 is the section width. The actual tread is 10" so your tires are a little wider than my current ones.
I didn't have to do any hammering however when I go to 4.56 gears I'll need a taller tire. I'll be going to a 29x10.5 or 29x11.5 slick. Goodyear Eagle slicks since the MT 29.5's are really 30" tall and they don't make a 29" ET Drag. Hammering will probably be required on the inner fenders especially on the passenger side where the indent for the spare tire is. I'm not ready to try installing wheel tubs yet.
My 10" rims are actually too wide for the 9" slick. I got a good deal on the tires so that's why I'm using them.

Turbo project is moving along pretty good at the moment. Getting a lot done with the car not neccesarily turbo stuff but setting it up for it better.
Check out my webpage: http://home.webworks2000.net/guido
Thanks for the advice Steve. I may step up to a 28" tire and 4.11 or 4.30 gears this year but will have to see how it acts first time out there.

Well thanks for answering my question too, I am going to need bigger tires than the stock 15x7's.
