my IROC-Z
I was thinking about just going to an autox track to try out my IROC, it has a brand new TPI 305 and a 5 speed, it is lowered 2 inches and has large solid sway bars. What do you think?

Third Gens are good autocross cars. Just be forwarded, the mods that you did will move you from FS to ESP...
Even so, if you check the FS and ESP results of the Nationals, the top spots are occupied by thrid gens, not 4th gens and Mustangs.
Go have some fun.

Subframes will put you in prepared, so you'll want to lie about having them if you want to stay competitive. Then, if you actually place, just withdraw so you don't steal anyone's points that is actually competing for the whole season.
