350 TPI auto, stock converter 60' times??
That pretty much sums it up. No 500 hp cars please. I am more interested in the guys with drag radials but whatever is fine slicks or street tires.
Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. In case you were wondering, I just wanted to see where I was at the first 60' compared to everyone else. I think I can improve. With my setup on BFG Drag Radials I was able to hit a 1.935 and run a best of 14.09. I can't seem to tach my car up enough to get a real good launch because it starts to spin (my brakes are drums and they are horrible). My times should improve once I get my transmission to shift out of second before 5000 rpms. But I guess a stall and some slicks sound good right about now, too...

I don't think you need slicks or a new stall converter. If you are in the 1.9's in the 60 foot times, you can't be slipping that much.
I had the same problem with my car, the 2-3 shift was just too slow and by the time it finished it was over 5000 rpm and almost felt like the brakes came on for a second.
I'd put in a Corvette servo if you have not already done that. After that the 2-3 shift finished at 4800 - 4900.

Thanks for the reply.
I know I don't NEED a high stall or slicks, but I would like to be launching at more like 2200 rpms. I think it would help out a lot. I don't know if drag radials would handle that launch.
And I didn't know a vette servo changed your shift points. How hard is that to install? Is it inside the transmission?
Thanks for the help.

i think the stall speed would be a big help though. there are 2 ways to choose the best convertor.
the method i use is to match the flash stall to the rpm at which peak torque occurs. this will bring hte car out with all it's power on full song as soon as you whack the thing.
or you can choose a convertor that you can foot brake up to the peak torque rpm. this will have the car all wound up on peak power at the line.
hope this helps.
by the way i pull 1.91-1.92's with a stock cammed 305 TBI on hoosier quick time pro's.
