3rd & 4th F-Body Gen Shootout! At Maryland International Raceway Sat, September 15th
I hope to see many of you out here at MIR for this event! This is our 1st Annual Shootout and it's come together great!

Bergie and I worked some good hours on making this event a go.... If you would like to participate in this event, please post a response to this thread so we can have a rough estimate on numbers. This has also been posted on many of the message boards as well. Your help in advertising this event will be appreciated. All the info you need is included here, but if you do think of something that is not covered, please contact either Berg or myself.
1982 – 2002 F-Body Only Shootout & Show!
Costs:
$20.00 to Race
$10.00 to Spectate only
$3.00 optional Car Show entry
Schedule of events:
8:00am - Gates open, tech inspection open.
9:00am - Lanes open for practice, grudge matches, and Quick16 qualifying.
9:00am - Bracket practice session (standard .500 R/T lights)
11:30am - Pro-Tree format practice session (.400 R/T Pro-Tree)
12:00pm - Announcements and organize Quick-16 class field)
12:15pm - Bracket classes eliminations
1:30pm - Quick-16 eliminations
2:00pm - Car Show & group gathering
2:30pm - Awards & Trophy distribution
(4) Drag Race Classes:
Camaros Bracket
Firebirds Bracket
F-Body (Camaro vs. Firebird Final Round) Bracket
Quick-16 Heads Up Pro Tree Class (Quickest 16 cars based on qualifying E.T.'s during practice hours, pro-tree .400 light format, no dial-in, no breakouts, 1st to finish winner)

Remember to try and get to the track early (gates open at 8:00am) so you can get your car tech inspected before the staging lanes open at 9:00am. The car show and group gathering will be held on the opposite side pit area and we are permitted to use the facilities as long as we like, so feel free to hang out, cook out, whatever! This is an open invitation event!

Okay, looks like Adam (Blkknight) came up with a good idea. He wanted to get a caravan going to the track and well...you know me and caravans....
Half the fun of going to car events are the caravans. Ooooh, the looks we get from everyone....especially those Stang owners.
So, what we'll work on doing is getting atleast two carvans together. One from the Pentagon and another one near the 495 for the folks West and South.
More details to come and as always...recommendation/suggestions are always welcome.
