Going to track friday...need some tips...

okay im going to the track friday to run with the exhaust mods i put in, hopefully i dropped a tenth or two and my shifting has definetly improved so im not to worried. although, my tire spin is really bad in 1st gear, my 60 ft time surprised me when i finished the trip down the 1/4 mile. it was last year i went to the track and i forget what my front tires should be at psi and my rear ones...and any other tipsyou may have please let me in on = ) i gotta beat my friends stock straigh pipe cobra with his horrible shifting. as close to the 13's as possible, im gonna run her about 4-5 times and thats it, brand new clutch = D

E-mail me, I'm going to try to get the old ragged-out 305 out to the track later this year(when it cools off some) and see if it will go 13.90s the times in my sig are before the tremec, glass hood and welds, so it may already be there, but I got 185,000 on it so its getting wornout! Anyway, I plan on doing some more mods before heading back out, subframe connectors, aluminum driveshaft, homemade adjustable torquearm, ram-air, hooker areochamber, and will be on the McCearys (drive around tire off the 67), I dont want to put the ET streets on and risk breaking the 1-bolt rear. I want to run it 1 last time before the 383 goes in! Right before the swap - incase the 305 goes BOOM!

See the posted date/time(in red) --> to the right are 4 icons, the second is my e-mail. You must not have given yours when u registered (u have 3 icons) or I would have e-mailed u. Anyway, my 305 is all stock - from intake to oil pan and it would be cool to go 13.90s with it, and prove that a 5.slow is not that much of a better car when it goes 13s with a stck 302

Run normal air pressure in the fronts. I run 32 psi in 3.5 wide fronts. If you try to run alot of pressure (to reduce rolling resistance) you will probably not see a hundreth and sacrifice braking. The rears however it all depends. For the 245/50s I would start at around 26 and drop 2 to 4 pounds each run. When it spins you will know to go up a little more. Try not slamming the gas to the floor when you leave. Back off a little and drop the clutch a little harder. This might help keep you from spining.
