Help for the 1st time to the track?
Okay, i have no idea where i should have posted this, so please move it if it's the wrong board.
When i goto the track, should i run my street radials? find some drag slicks? or find some worn tires and rims?
I tried 14" rims with a 26" tire (i have 16 rims), car sat the same but very very little clearance with rear caliper. A buddy of mine has slicks i can use, but he says their dry rotted...should i get them anyway?
Any cheap drag slicks i could buy for 150 bucks? In catalogs like jegs, is that the price for a set? or for both? How do i know which will fit my car? What do you guys use? or suggest me use? I just don't want to have to heat up my tires and then come home with no tread on my street tires.

Worn out tires won't get you through tech inspection.
Use your street tires. Drive to the inside of the water box, keeping out of the water. The outside is where they sweep all the dirt so you don't want to drive through it. You don't want to do a burnout with street tires. They are not designed to heat up so all you're going to do is wear off good rubber. Do a short dry hop to clean off the tires then move up to the staging beams.
The price of slicks is each. You'll probably also needs rims. Although you don't really need them, tubes are recommended since the slicks are not designed to be used tubeless. I can see air leaking right through the sidewalls on mine when it's raining. I'll get tubes in them eventually.
