Advice, going to track for 1st time but don't know where to put this stuff.

Okay, i'm going to Gateway in St. Louis this summer for the 1st time.. Their requirement's say i need a helmet, and a fire extinquisher(sp?) mount within drivers reach somewhere in the car. Where does everyone put their fire safety devices? heh, i don't exactly want to drill holes, but i also wanna be able to drag race. Any ideas?

Must be a track policy.

NHRA rules do not require a fire extinguisher in an ET bracket car. They are permitted and must be securely mounted if you intend to use one but under NHRA rules they do not force you to have one.

1) If you had a fire, I doubt you would be able to put it out with a small extinguisher or know how to put it out.
2) Track safety crew are better suited for fires since they carry much more equipment to deal with it.

Mount it on the tranny tunnel on the passenger side (under or in front of the park brake).
