You should stomp her into oblivion, making her race to such speeds so that she wets her panties and never drives again. If you can't do that then you should just hang your head in shame and never EVER look at another car again.

Is now 383 stroker w/ the same T-5
World products Sportsman II heads. Lunati pistons and custom ground camshaft. Will dyno after the break in but is estimated at 450 hp and 520 ftlbs. The T-5 is on a suicide mission.

You'll kill off the line for a fact, BUT depending on how far you guys go racing the SHO will eventually take you catch up with you. I owned a 5-spd 1992 for over a year and killed stangs and camaros left and right but only in the end. The SHO engine will peak at around 4k-5k RPM so it takes a while for them to pick up but once they do they are off.
Try it and let me know what happens! I'd be really curious to see what happens.

I sold the SHO over a year ago for the Camaro but still have my old site up if you guys are bored... http://home.earthlink.net/~balazsh/SHO

Depends on your definition of "take her" is. Bottom end, both with good traction you should have her. But like TINFY and wicked said...get above 90 or so and yer prolly toast. I had a coupla times where I was fender to fender with a 5-speed SHO at speed.

Jesus, they suck down low, making their power up top. But it isn't THAT much up top as some people are implying. You'll kick her *** hardcore assuming your car is running decently, especially since she has an auto (I didn't think you could get the little yamaha motor w/ an auto??). She'd be lucky to hit mid 15s...

My friend has a 96 SHO and when we race we are dead even. I have a 5 speed LG4 carbed 305 and he has an Auto V6.
When we are at the track I am about 2-3 tenths quicker than him. He runs a 15.2.

I beat a stock SHO with my L03 "powered" camaro. Those cars are not that fast at all. My buddy has completely annihilated modified SHOs in his impalaSS.

Man you guys have a lot to learn about different cars. I'm probably going to come off as an ***hole but tuff, suck it up. My background with these cars goes back 5 years now when I was just getting into cars. My friend bought a 92 white SHO 5 speed. He then joined a the liberty SHO club. It's basically the NJ/eastern Penn club. They would go to the tracks all the time. He wrecked the car and bought another 92 5 speed, this one is black and has had TONS of problems. The engine is awesome, it's a beauty but the rest of the car is crap. In the past year he's had to replace the starter, trans, water pump, all suspension parts, and motor mounts. The car has 155K miles on it now.
All the 2nd gen SHO's run low 15's stock trim. Most (after a few mods like MAF, intake, exhaust) run 15 flat with a good driver. These cars are 4 doors and are pretty heavy but don't let that fool you. They have some *****. In my 86 Lg4 SC I couldn't keep up. I was a good 2-3 car lengths behind ALL the time. Now my L03 wasn't much better but the last time I raced him on the street was when I didn't have a thermo in and the car was running like crap (stalling and missing bad), I kept up with him and was only a car behind. I do have headers and a cat back but NO intake mods, I also had a friend with me. I know for a fact that my car could take him out no prob after I fixed the cooling problem. Never raced him though, summer was too busy but he was turning 15.2's at best in the 1/4 with good tire spin control. He used to be in the high 15's because he would just dump the clutch. Anyways, any 350 should beat these cars. Maybe not by much but they should. It depends on the driver and where they shift and how hard they are on their trans . It's like racing a maxima. The Max has 190hp and runs the same times as the 220hp SHO's, maybe it's the weight, I don't care. The idea of a 350 TPI loosing to a SHO is stupid. If you listen to the SHO's you'll hear the intake scream and suck enough air you'd swear it was supercharged.
Go get her, you shouldn't have much trouble with the SHO if it's na, supercharged is a different story. Good luck.
