low 12's high 11's those 462's and intake are going to kill the whole package too much gear for those heads also

Re: 1/4 mile time guess?
Its what i had to work with this year didnt have money for new heads trying to build everything up to hold alot of HP before i go droping a powerfull motor in it and destroy stuff but. What gear do you think i should run? last year i had a set of 882 heads on it with stock hyd rollor cam and it ran a 13.75 at 98MPH and that was with none of the mods i just posted above beside 4.56 in the stock 10 bolt thought the 4.56 would be okay and i should say im running a 29 inch tall tire

I would leave the gearing for now and try it out. No sense in spending more money to try to match those heads if you ask me.
Should be a good runner! I can understand getting everything else ready to take the power.
Even a set of cheap vortec heads are going to flow more then the old 462 castings.

Ya a set of vortec heads would be great over the 462's but i decided instead of putting more money into motor just save it and wait till i can ditch these heads i can buy a set of Brodix heads and have them ported by BES along with new cam and intake of course. Then i can get to making some real HP!!

Re: 1/4 mile time guess?
Thats what im hoping was to be able to break into a high 12 on motor but only time will tell the true story though. And im hoping my weight comes in decent i have done about all i can for now to reduce the weight in it. I no i shaved quite a bit off the front end with the chromoly k member and a arms and taking heater core out and going to manual steering, eletric water pump and taking out the stock front bumper support and fabing up my own. Any ideas on how to shave more weight off the whole car beside ripping out the interior?
