Wow that was pretty quick getting it back together. Are you going to get it back in the car for some more runs this year?

Hope to see you out on a wed. night at the track soon. I want to put some runs on mine so I can get my double adjustable rear shocks figured out.

Live the gains from a roll bar, but hate the weight and loss of back seat use. Nice work you have going there.

Re: Project 10sec lq4 91rs
Zone even if you could make the center cross bar on the main hoop removable it would still be a pain to get people in the back. The side door bars would still be in the way with the seat tipped forward. Not impossible to get someone in the back probably but a pain non the less. If you did have a removable center bar and swing out door bars then that might work though.

Re: Project 10sec lq4 91rs
^^that won't be nhra acceptable. that crossbar must be welded in. i think some scca rules allow for a removable crossbar, but that won't affect you or me.

Re: Project 10sec lq4 91rs
I was thinking of removable or swing out door bars. When at the track I would just put foam padding over it and they would never know. As long as they see safety equipment, they do not question it. This is for test and tuning. A real event...probably have a closer inspection.

Swing outs are ok to 10.00 I believe. I have them on my car and take them out for the street.

Welds were layed in hot and everthing is welded all the way around. Cage doesnt need to be certified anyway its only a 6pt good for 10.00. Ive seen some pretty nasty looking roll bars at my local track. Mine look great compared to most ive seen

I'm using a fourthgen console and dash. It's got a really long throw, so I had to cut the console up a bit.

I raised the shifter off the floor a few inches so I didn't have to cut much out of my 4th gen console.

The roll bar paint looks great and is much easier then having to tape the whole car off when spraying. You have any other shots of the roll bar done after paint? Nice job man!

I'm anxious to see how that shifter fits in the console. Definately take some pics of how you mount it. Are you going to the track for wild wednesday this week?

The bracket i made is from sone left over 1/4" steel. It isand at 12* angle forward. I was a little skeptical using 2 mountibg bolts in the bracket. Feels sturdy and ready to jam gears.!!!

Same issue with my TA. The RS had a 4 inch hood. The Daytona turbo hood on the TA is maybe 2.5.

Re: Project 10sec lq4 91rs
Ran in the mnca world street finals /lsx shootout this weekend in indy. Had a blast. Turned the 2 step down, added 200lbs of weight and ran the lsx rumble index class. 500 protree. I chose the 11.00 index.
Weekend started bad. Unloaded off trailer and car died and would restart. Saw smoke from under the hood and found burnt msd 6010 box. Thinking I was in luck seeing a msd trailer in the distance, I decided to rid e the 4 wheeler up to the msd trailer to see if they would swap me out a new one under warranty or worst case buy a new one. When I arrived at the msd trailer I was told that they did being any lsx ignition boxes (to the lsx shootout) with them and I was **** out of luck pretty much. Pretty bad marketing if you ask me. Thankfully I ran into jbenge and he had an extra one I could use at his house. He saved the day for sure. Deff owe him for that lol.
Rain was treatining Sundays eliminations so they ran into the wee hours of the night. Ended around 6am Sunday mourning lol.
Made it 5 rounds to the final 8 of the 64 car field. Went out with a relight(maybe due to It being 5 am lol) car ran 11.02-11.10 @ 125mph all night with r/t in the. 030-060 range
Brought home $85 dollars wahoo. First time ever really competing. Im hooked now lol
Special thanks the jbenge for msd box and helping keep the thirdgens on the track was deff out numbered lol
